When Rouses came to JLH Lighting for their Picayune, Mississippi location, the goal was clear — improve on their existing lighting package by raising the bar on color quality and light distribution so that every product in the store looked its absolute best.

The result is a complete interior and exterior lighting package across approximately 45,000 square feet. Our first project together with Rouses, it served as an opportunity to demonstrate what a purpose-built grocery lighting approach looks like at full scale. We combined Luxco fixtures, designed specifically for grocery and food retail applications, with carefully selected fixtures from several additional manufacturers to match the right light source to every application in the store. The outcome is a shopping environment where the products lead, the lighting feels natural and inviting, and the overall experience reflects exactly what Rouses stands for.
